It’s unclear which demons will be playable to the game’s Versus Mode, but with the iconic series sporting a long list of characters, it shouldn’t be too hard to choose some great characters. No other information about the post-launch update has been revealed, with CyberConnect 2 and Aniplex simply saying that details will be announced at a later date.

Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Sega, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is a fighting game based on the incredibly popular anime and manga. The single-player Adventure Mode will retell the tale of Tanjiro Kamado’s quest to turn her sister Nezuko back into a human, as well as the events from the recent movie Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train.

The Demon Slayer game will also include a Versus Mode which allows you and another person to go toe-to-toe locally or online. Several characters have already been revealed including Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Shinobu Kocho, and Sakonji.

There will be several different versions of the game. The Standard Edition and Digital Edition will cost $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will be $69.99. However, those who pay a bit more cash will get some extra goodies like unique avatars and special cosmetics, as well as access to the game two days before launch.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is set to launch on October 13, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
