Life is Strange: True Colors is the first entry in the series to be released all at the same time, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t getting additional content at a later date. Developer Deck Nine revealed the previously announced True Colors DLC called Wavelengths has a release date of September 30. However, this news also came with a delay for the remastered collection of the first game and Before the Storm.

This announcement came by way of the official Life is Strange Twitter account. The first trailer for Wavelengths is set to debut on August 12 and stars Steph Gingrich, one of the side characters from Before the Storm and the original title. Gingrich, who is in the above picture, is typically in a beanie and depicted as an artist. She’s also an openly queer character, as Before the Storm players should know. This bonus episode sees Gingrich as a radio DJ and even gives players the chance to play a tabletop RPG somewhat like Dungeons and Dragons, which was also in Before the Storm.

But even though it seems like this True Colors and its DLC will hit their respective release dates (at least, so far), the remastered bundle of the first Life is Strange and Before the Storm will not. In order to “alleviate any additional pression on the Life is Strange team,” Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will now come to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch sometime in early 2022. No PS5 version has been announced.
There is no official The gap will also give it some breathing room after True Colors. The collection was previously slated for September 30 for non-Switch platforms.

Despite the delay, users who buy the Ultimate Edition of True Colors will still get the remastered games when they come out.
