Six months after being pulled from the PlayStation Store, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has finally been made available for purchase on Sony systems digitally once more.

After the game’s horrendously buggy initial launch, Sony took the step of preventing digital sales of the title whilst the developer got busy working on trying to make it actually playable. This Monday, the game showed up again on the PlayStation Store, with Sony adding a little note to the revived listing.

Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended,” Sony says of the Cyberpunk 2077 PlayStation Store return. “For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.”

CD Projekt themselves stated that “users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms.”

An optimized-for-next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version of Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release in the second half of this year. CD Projekt has confirmed that owners of the currently available versions will be able to claim a free upgrade to those new versions when they drop.
