Keanu Reeves and Jimmy Kimmel Go ‘A Reasonable Speed’

Keanu Reeves, the star of 1994’s classic Speed, dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to teach America a few safe driving tips via a new “trailer” for A Reasonable Speed, a car chase movie sponsored by the government. It’s just as exciting as it sounds! Check out the clip below that makes Fast & Furious look way faster and slightly less furious.

Reeves, who’s out on the promotional trail for his new horror film Knock Knock, also talked a little bit about why he turned down the chance reunite with Sandra Bullock in 1997’s box office disaster Speed 2: Cruise Control, in which Jason Patric took over leading man duties.

“I didn’t get to be in that… well, I decided not to be in that,” Reeves said bluntly. “I loved working with Jan de Bont and Sandra, of course. It was just a situation in life where I got the script and I read the script and I was like ‘Ugggghhh.’ It was about a cruise ship and I was thinking, ‘A bus, a cruise ship… Speed, bus, but then a cruise ship is even slower than a bus and I was like, ‘I love you guys but I just can’t do it.'”

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” airs weeknights at 11:35|10:35c on ABC.
