True Detective
One of the most talked about television shows of the year, all eight episodes of Cary Fukunaga's meditative mystery thriller hit Blu-ray this week in a three-disc set that includes, in addition to a number of behind-the-scenes featurettes, audio commentaries on episodes four and five.

Tim's Vermeer
Directed by Teller (of Penn and Teller), this documentary follows an inventor, Tim Jenison, in his quest to uncover the painting process used by 17th century Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. The film hits Blu-ray with a feature-length audio commentary and more than two hours of extended and alternate scenes.

Spike Lee Volumes I & II
A number of Spike Lee hits arrive on Blu-ray for the first time this week. Volume One includes He Got Game and 25th Hour while Volume Two offers Summer of Sam and Miracle at St. Anna. -
Shameless: Season Three
The third season of the hit Showtime series stars William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher, a single father who would rather spend his time drinking than parenting his six children, none of whom represent an apple that has fallen far from the tree.

L'Eclisse
Michelangelo Antonioni's 1962 drama follows Monica Vitti as a young translator in Rome who we follow through a pair of romantic encounters, first with an older man (Francisco Rabal) and then with a young stockbroker (Alain Delon). The Criterion Collection upgrades the previous DVD with an HD version of the film that boasts a number of special features, including an hourlong documentary on Antonioni.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Chris Pine takes on the role of Jack Ryan (previously played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck) for an "origin story" of sorts that pits the young CIA operative against deadly economic terrorists.

Devil's Knot
A narrative take on the infamous trial of the West Memphis Three, Devil's Knot is directed by Atom Egoyan, best known for his dreamlike 1997 drama The Sweet Hereafter and features a cast that includes Reese Witherspoon, Colin Firth, Stephen Moyer and Dane DeHaan.

All That Heaven Allows
