20th Century Fox Home Entertainment thriller Hide and Seek, starring Robert De Niro and Dakota Fanning, shot to the top of the sales and rental charts for the week ending July 10.
The film sold 2.5 million copies in its first week, which translates to about $50 million in gross consumer spending. Hide and Seek generated an additional $14.5 million in rental revenue, for combined home video earnings of more than $64 million, compared with a box office take of $51 million.
