New Taylor Swift Documentary Gets a Release Date Window

Taylor Swift is currently one of the most popular singers in the world. Her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, has received mixed reviews. Interestingly, many fans believe it’s her best work so far.

Taylor works with Republic Records, but since her 2006 debut album release of 2017’s Reputation, she has recorded music with Big Machine Records. In 2019, when the singer left Big Machine Records, a feud emerged between her and its owner, Scooter Braun. This dispute has carried on for months, and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is the subject of an upcoming documentary.

Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood comes out in June 2024. This project is a part of the iconic ‘vs’ series, whose other installments include Vardy vs RoincludeOney: The Wagatha Trial Johnny vs Amber, and Kim vs Kanye: The Divorce.

Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood to release on Discovery+

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood will premiere on Discovery+ in the UK. For the rest of the world, its home is Max.

Charlotte Reid, vp commissioning, networks & streaming at WBD U.K. & Ireland, called Taylor and Scooter’s dispute a high-profile story and explained that the subject is fascinating for viewers. She stated, “It’s a high-profile, high-interest story that opened debate on fandom and dominated headlines. One which will resonate with our viewers who are highly engaged with access-led documentaries like ‘vs.’”

Reports suggest that the project does not showcase bias to either individual. Its creators will give viewers the freedom to draw their judgment, based on the feud’s details. Furthermore, the hour-long Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood will explore gender dynamics in the music industry, the might of fan influence, and many other aspects. Additionally, for authenticity and accuracy, the documentary took the words of journalists, legal experts, and those close to Taylor and Scooter into consideration.
