Where Is Wendy Williams? Why Did the Talk Show Host’s Guardian File a Lawsuit?

Lifetime will air a new documentary about the recent struggles of former talk show host Wendy Williams. Titled Where Is Wendy Williams?, this project will air in two parts on Lifetime: February 24 and 25 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Furthermore, the entire documentary lasts four and a half hours.

Interestingly, Wendy Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has filed a lawsuit against Lifetime’s parent company, A&E Television Networks. According to The New York Times, Morrissey filed the lawsuit under a seal, which means the details are undisclosed. However, the docs mention that Morrissey wants a temporary restraining order. A thing like this is requested when someone wants a judge to stop releasing a film or television program. Furthermore, the documentary’s production company (Entertainment One) is a defendant in the suit.

According to IMDb, the synopsis of Where Is Wendy Williams? reads, “After her hit talk show’s sudden cancellation, cameras follow Wendy Williams’ attempt at a career comeback as she confronts health and personal issues.”

Who is Wendy Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey?

Reports suggest that Sabrina Morrissey became the guardian of the former talk show on December 8, 2022. According to The Sun US, Sabrina was born on October 3, 1964. She is currently an attorney from New York; however, she is from Carrollton, Georgia.

Sabrina Morrissey specializes in guardianship, estate administration, and elder abuse cases. Apart from being the President of the New York Women’s Bar Association, she is also a former student of West Georgia College and New York University.

A source stated that Sabrina ensured it was in her financial best interest whenever Wendy required something. The source said, “When Wendy asks for something to happen, the guardian is making sure it is in her own financial best interest first. Her accounts are now handled between the guardian, Ms. Williams, and the court.”

Wendy Williams hosted the iconic The Wendy Williams Show from 2008 to 2022.
