The much-anticipated historical thriller C-drama Shooting Stars is all set to meet viewers on April 15, 2024. It features famous actors Ren Min and Li Xian in the lead roles. It tells the story of Hua Zhen (Li Xian), who dreams of joining the navy and becoming a captain. He comes from a wealthy family of high-ranking officers.
He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and takes pride in his heritage. Hua Zhen wants to follow in the footsteps of the members of his family. But everything changes after he takes a sudden trip to the city of Shanghai.
There, he meets communist party members Chen Hao (Zhou You) and Luo Min Min (Ren Min), who guide him toward a new way of life. So much so that he abandons his old life, changes his name to Xiang Yuan Sheng, and becomes a low-ranking police officer. Communism influences him greatly, and he develops new morals and beliefs.

The story of the drama takes place during China’s war of resistance against Japan. The ideology of communism has a strong effect on Yuan Sheng, and he trains himself to eventually become a great soldier. He becomes one of the primary faces of protest in the hidden front of the party. He even helps others in the pursuit of communism.

Other than the lead actors, Shooting Stars also features CiCi Wang, Wang Mao Lei, Amber Song, Jiang Yi, Song Ning, and Li Zhi Mo in pivotal roles. Wan Li Yang is the director of the republican drama.
Shooting Stars will release a total of 34 episodes, which will be available for streaming on Mango TV.
