The ongoing modern C-drama Everyone Loves Me released episode 9 on March 4, 2024. The drama features Lin Yi and Zhou Ye in the leading roles. It is an adaptation of the novel “Bie Dui Wo Dong Xin” by Qiao Yao. Yu Chung Chung and Lee Ching Jung are the directors of Everyone Loves Me and Xu Ting is the screenwriter.
The drama tells the story of Qian Ling (Zhou Ye), who is rejected by her crush Gu Xun (Lin Yi). meanwhile, Xun finds himself smitten with his online gaming companion, unaware that this person is actually Qian Ling herself.
In episode 9 of Everyone Loves Me, Gu Xun asks Qian Ling to transfer to another business unit but she turns down his proposal. But Gu Xun persists saying that her art-style suits Triple-A games more.
Gu Xun tells her that he immediately needs to recruit people with fresh ideas as the previous character designs have been leaked. He assures her saying that he has faith in her. But Qian Ling is stubborn and refuses to transfer.

Qian Ling confides in her friend, pouring out the details of her dilemma. She admits her genuine admiration for the artistic style of the 9th business unit but hesitates to accept their proposal due to its association with Gu Xun. However, her friend recommends that she should reconsider her decision.
Meanwhile, Qian Ling receives a package. The package is quite heavy and Gu Xun offers a helping hand. But Qian Ling does not want to look weak and refuses. Gu Xun still follows her to the apartment and makes sure she does not trip and fall. She finds it amusing when a passerby scolds Gu Xun about not carrying the heavy package as a man.
In episode 9 of Everyone Loves Me, Gu Xun helps her assemble her package which contains a kennel. Even when it starts to rain, he does not leave which impresses Qian Ling. She feels bad when she sees that he is working so hard. Qian Ling brings him an umbrella and keeps him company. She decides to talk to her online friends, including Gu Xun, about her worries.
Ling tells them how she has been offered a new position at the office but she turned it down because she did not want to take any favor from her crush who embarrassed her in front of everyone. Her friends advise her to separate personal and professional matters and convince her to rethink her decision.
Qian Ling convinces her team lead to let her transfer to the 9th business unit. She tells Gu Xun about her decision. Gu Xun’s screen is on and Qian Ling is about to see it. Fearing it could reveal his identity, he pulls her towards him. The couple accidentally gets close. This makes things even more awkward for Qian Ling.
The drama follows the genres of romance and youth. Everyone Loves Me airs on Mondays to Fridays. It is available for streaming on Youku.
