One Piece: What Are Gorosei Devil Fruits?

One of the most powerful groups in One Piece is the Gorosei. With the Final Saga in full throttle, they’ve become even more influential. Eiichiro Oda took his time fleshing out these characters. The last few chapters of One Piece have focused on the Five Elders.

One Piece chapter 1110 showed the Five Elders in their awakened Devil Fruit forms. Although it was just the dark silhouettes of their figures, Oda teased their actual forms. Chapter 1094 confirmed that St. Jaygarcia Saturn is a Ushi-Oni. With the story having progressed this much, audiences were curious about what Devil Fruits or abilities the Gorosei possesses. As there has yet to be any confirmation from the author, this list will show what has already been mentioned in the series.

St. Jaygarcia Saturn

Saturn’s Devil Fruit was straightforward to identify as his silhouette gave it away. As the trailer of One Piece episode 1106 revealed, he is heading to Egghead Island with Admiral Kizaru. Saint Jaygarcia Saturn most likely possesses the powers of a mythical Oni or a Minotaur.

His Devil Fruit form resembled an Oni, as features like massive horns and a distinct upper body were prominent. Oni are considered mythical creatures in One Piece, but Kaido is living proof of this. In some aspects, Saturn’s appearance was similar to that of the former Yonko, which further backs this theory.

St. Marcus Mars

There was another silhouette resembling a bird, which belonged to the Gorosei, with a mustache and a long beard. Mars most likely possesses a Zoan Devil Fruit, considered the strongest of all types of Devil Fruits.

There is widespread speculation that the Devil Fruit grants Mars the abilities of the Garuda, mythical birds in One Piece. Vinsmoke Judge, the Germa Kingdom’s current leader, confirms Garuda’s existence. The series features a plethora of mythical birds, such as the Thunderbird. Mars could have the powers of any of these birds, but with so little information available, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

St. Topman Warcury

The Warrior God of Justice is recognized by his distinguished long mustache and a scar on his forehead. There is little information available about his abilities, but one of the silhouettes revealed his Devil Fruit form. It resembled a beast-like boar with massive tusks, inspired by the Fengxi, a boar-like monster from Chinese mythology.

The Warrior God of Finance, Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, wields a sword that is said to be one of the strongest in the series. His Devil Fruit powers allow him to turn into a towering, skeletal, horse-like monster with a distinct head. As terrifying as it looks, he can move at unrealistic speed and bears immense powers. He can freeze his enemies with his sword, a significant part of his powers.

St. Shepherd Ju Peter

He is one of the tallest elders in the Gorosei, and Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is the elder behind the area of Agriculture in One Piece. His Devil Fruit turns him into a massive sandworm, which allows him to move with agility and dig holes to overwhelm his enemies. There is yet to be much information available about the extent of his abilities in the manga.
