The New Gate episode 4 recap
The episode continues from where the previous one left off, with Schnee saving the knights from the monster and healing them. She heads deeper into the forest to scout the area while thinking of her reunion with Shin. Meanwhile, thanks to Wilhelm and Shin, Lacia is able to obtain the skill, and they celebrate their success.
However, they are interrupted by a Skullface Lord, who is summoned by the surrounding mana. Shin releases his limiter and gives Wilhelm a speed buff to help him escape with Lacia while he fights the undead. During the battle, he spots an approaching ally and then leaves to intercept them. He arrives at the flower field and sees Schnee, who rushes to embrace him. Yuzuha erects a barrier to prevent the approaching undead from interrupting their conversation.
They work together to cast a high-level holy skill called “Sanctuary,” defeating the undead and the Skullface Lord. Schnee and Shin continue their earlier discussion, and he admits he will leave after finding a way back home. They reunite with Wilhelm and Lacia and make their way back. Elsewhere, Riona’s knights find Shin’s blade and look for its origins. The episode ends with one of the knights revealing that a legendary blacksmith made the blade.
