Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4, “Kengo/Shinzo,” aired on Sunday, April 28, 2024. After barely surviving the Yozakura family initiation, Asano got caught in the middle of Kengo and Mutsumi’s exciting game of hide and seek. The episode showed Shinzo’s mission and highlighted Asano’s progress.
The episode starts with Mutsumi making breakfast as Taiyo walks in, asking how to wear a bra properly. Mutsumi is shocked by his question and tells him she is ready to accept all his weird kinks, but he quickly admits it’s for disguise training. Kengo then walks into the room, disguised as a woman, to tease him, while Shinzo watches in confusion.
In school, one of the baseball balls flies towards Mutsumi, but Taiyo catches it without looking and sends it back. Mutsumi expresses her concern, telling him she’s happy his training is working, but he stands out too much. She tells him people have started calling him a ninja because they can’t feel his presence when he walks past.
While at home, she and Taiyo are sorting through the massive paperwork that she had to. They run into a problem with one of Kengo’s reports and head to his room to confront him. His room is littered with dirty clothes and weapons. After getting nagged by Mutsumi, he runs away, prompting a hilarious game of hide and seek. Mutsumi puts the house on lockdown and chases him.
He manages to evade them by perfectly disguising himself as multiple family members. However, he is caught after failing to perfectly replicate Taiyo’s behavior with the disguise, which causes Mutsumi to catch him. Taiyo and Kengo then find the report, and Kengo tells Taiyo to stop being formal with him.

Elsewhere, Mutsumi serves Taiyo a bowl of soup, which the latter enjoys until she reveals that the secret ingredient is cyanide. They then get a call from Shinzo, who tells them he is trapped on one of his missions with no weapons. Mutsumi then reveals that Shinzo is brave only when he has a weapon.
Taiyo breaks into the facility to try to rescue Shinzo, revealing the fruits of his training. He is able to defeat multiple bad guys and evade capture. Taiyo showcases his marksmanship by using his gun to take out a few more guys as he makes his way towards Shinzo. He arrives at Shinzo’s destination and is given the weapons Mutsumi had prepared. Shinzo takes out the men at the entrance, and he and Taiyo flee.
However, Taiyo is shot by a sniper through the leg, forcing Shinzo to surrender his weapon. Taiyo then throws a fork to Shinzo, which he launches into the sniper, distracting him for long enough to shoot him. The two then make their way outside the facility, with Shinzo carrying Taiyo. Shinzo recognizes his weakness and vows to get stronger, as he is his big brother. The episode ends with a suspicious figure revealing Taiyo as his latest assignment.
