Oshi no Ko chapter 145: What happened previously?

Oshi no Ko chapter 145 was aptly titled “Children” to show Tsukuyomi playing the roles of young Ruby and Aqua. With Tsukuyomi’s acting debut and certain revelations from her past, the chapter added intrigue to the plot as it progressed.

The chapter begins with Tsukuyomi acting as young Ruby in the ongoing film, 15 Year Lie, marking the former’s acting debut. In the scene, Ruby throws tantrums and refuses to dance in her school dance event. After the scene is over, the actual Ruby expresses her shock with Tsukuyomi’s portrayal of her character.

Tsukuyomi assures her that she used to be as whiny as she had been portrayed in the scene. However, Ruby denies this accusation and states that she was, on the contrary, mature and a “child prodigy.”

After arguing for a bit, Ruby tells an annoyed Tsukuyomi to enact the dance scene with Ai properly because Ruby was deeply attached to it. During Ruby’s enactment as Ai, Tsukuyomi remembers how Sarina was the same in the past life, thereby making Tsukuyomi happy.

The next day, Tsukuyomi plays the role of young Aqua. Much to the young actor’s annoyance, both Kana and Aqua seem dissatisfied with the performance, with Aqua claiming that he was not as childish and much more mature than what Tsukuyomi portrayed.

Suddenly, the chapter takes a sad turn as it reveals that Tsukuyomi portrayed both Ruby and Aqua exactly how she remembers them. Moreover, she met them in her previous life as an injured crow. As Sarina discovered the crow, she asked Gorou to help it. Eventually, the crow, who was actually Tsukuyomi, watched over Sarina and Gorou until the day the former died.

The chapter ends with the present-day Ruby asking Kana how many points she would give to Tsukuyomi’s acting. Kana credits 60 points to her, calling her acting “too cute.” However, Tsukuyomi silently reminisces about how they have always been “cheeky and cute children” to her since she has known them, so she can’t really help playing their roles that way.
