On March 22, 2024, the official website and Twitter account for Grisaia: Phantom Trigger announced that the anime will be released in 2024. The announcement also unveiled a new key visual.
Frontwing and Sekai Project released The Fruit of Grisaia on Steam in 2015. The game surpassed its goal even in other Western countries. Frontwing and Sekai Project then released The Labyrinth of Grisaia and The Eden of Grisaia on Steam. Given the popularity of these three games, it soon inspired manga and anime adaptations.
Grisaia: Phantom Trigger anime: Everything you need to know
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the Grisaia: Phantom Trigger game will be released in 2024. However, the exact release date has yet to be announced. Additional information is expected to be released during the Anime Japan 2024 event.
Most of the cast members from the 2019 original video anime reprise their roles. Among them include Maaya Uchida, who stars as Rena, Ayane Sakura as Tohka, Kaori Nazuka as Christina, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Murasaki.
Tensho, founder of the Bibury Studio, will direct and produce the anime at his company. He will also supervise and write the series scripts. While Ryuichiro Yamakawa produces the anime, Akio Watanabe is the character designer and chief animation director.
Meanwhile, the stage play adaptation of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger THE STAGE will be performed from May 2 to 6, 2024, at the Hikosen Theater in Tokyo. The play offers an exciting new story that explores the original game’s second and third chapters.
The main cast members for the main play include Moe Tsurumi as Reina Fukami, MEW as Tohka Shishigaya, Rin Kaname as Christina Sakurako, and Ria Kobato as Saki Ikomamura. It will also feature Riko Shimizu, Marina Kumamoto, and Sena Horikoshi stars as Maki, Haruto, and Shiori, respectively.
