Aniplex has confirmed a release date for the upcoming season of Demon Slayer, titled Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc. In addition to this, a new key visual featuring the Hashiras was released.
This was unveiled in an official promotional trailer for Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training. The upcoming season will release in Japan on May 12, 2024. Similar to the previous season’s Swordsmith Village arc, the upcoming one will likely premiere with an hour-long special episode. Interestingly, the episode recently aired in specific theatres as a movie. Following the battle of the demon slayers with the Upper Moon Four demon, Hantengu, the movie featured episode 1 of the upcoming season.
Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc release date, plot, and more
On Saturday, March 9, 2024, a new promotional teaser for the Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc was revealed in a Special Events live stream. The preview unveils that Demon Slayer season 4 will premiere on Fuji TV and its affiliated networks. The first episode will be one hour in length. It will premiere on May 12, 2024, at 11:15 p.m. JST.
The series will also broadcast on Tokyo MX, BSII, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on May 19, 2024, at 12 a.m. JST. Additionally, two special episodes compiling the Swordsmith Village Arc will telecast on Japanese networks on May 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. JST.
Apart from the trailer, the production team behind Demon Slayer season 4 released the first key visual for the series. The illustration features Gyomei Himejima at the front and the other Hashiras behind him.
The trailer opens with the events following the previous season. The starting sequence features the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejime, proposing a Demon Slayer Corps-wide Hashira Training plan. As per the clip, this arc will focus mainly on Tanjiro and his group training. Furthermore, the trailer also dropped hints of the former Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, returning.
