In a magnificent display of her wizardry, Marcille can walk on water, which greatly upsets Senshi, who prefers an old-school approach. Senshi’s skepticism brings an unexpected twist to events when Marcille casts the water-walking spell on him. But the dirt and blood-stained beard prevents the magic from working, thus endangering his life as he almost drowns.
To overcome the obstacle, Senshi begins by employing a Mimic shell to summon Anne, a Kelpie, with the hope that she would guide him safely across the lake. In contrast, Laios states his doubt about the mysterious behavior of the dungeon monsters. Just as expected, Anne gets violent and goes for Senshi, which leads to a duel of life or death. Senshi and Laios cooperate and manage to beat Anne, while the ingenious Marcille creates soap from the fat of the Kelpie so that Senshi can wash his beard, let it dry, and then walk on water.
