Blue Lock Chapter 251 Spoilers: Itoshi Rin and Nijiro Nanase Take Center Stage

Blue Lock chapter 251 was released on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. As expected, Itoshi Rin, along with Nanase, were the highlight of this chapter. Other than the two, Hiori also shined with his positional play as he displayed excellent vigor when it came down to lending defensive support to his team.

As the game resumed, Kaiser notably ignored the primary strategy and retreated only to retaliate against Rin speedily. Fans speculate that Ness influenced this move, and though lacking judgment, Kaiser managed to impress readers with his speed and dexterity.

In the beginning, Rin managed to snatch the ball from Kaiser after Kaiser had employed the aforementioned tactical approach. However, once Rin got the ball, Rensuke and Ness blocked Rin’s path, but to no avail. Rin’s talent even impressed his opponents as he exhibited brilliant swiftness in his game and displayed mastery in his technical abilities.

Blue Lock chapter 251: Nanase begs Rin to mentor him

Amid the intense gameplay, a flashback took readers to fifteen days before the ongoing match. This flashback showed an interesting set of events featuring Nanase and Rin. Remarkably, Nanase Nijiro had practically begged Rin to train him.

Though Rin refused, Nanase remained persistent with his request, as he wanted to stay in the game. Finally, Rin agreed but asked Nanase to be his pawn. Nanase gave in without hesitation, considering his situation after being rejected for the starting line-up.

Despite Rin’s initial impression of Nanase as a worthless player, Rin discovered an unexpected twist in Nanase’s gameplay. The so-called weakling could use both his feet while playing, which gave players an edge over their opponents in soccer. When Rin inquired about it, Nanase seemed clueless, which shed light on his inability to think for himself. However, Rin helped Nanase realize that he was ambidextrous. Having unlocked this feat naturally, it gave Nanase an upper hand on most players, but only if he trained properly.

Blue Lock chapter 251 ending: Kaiser and Isagi team up against Rin

Before the flashback, Rin had the opportunity to pass the ball to either Charles or Tokimitsu. However, as the plot returned to the current timeline, it made sense for Rin to pass the ball to his “disciple,” Nanase, instead. Rin’s decision proved tactically favorable as Nanase displayed his skills and made the former proud. But as Nanase dribbled the ball that Rin had passed to him, Mensah and Kiyora obstructed his way, making the game challenging.

However, Nanase put his ambidexterity to use and hails forward. As he managed to protect the ball, he later passed it to Rin. Witnessing Nanase’s approach, Rin commended him, marking a sweet moment in their dynamic.

Finally, having the ball in his court, just as Rin prepared to shoot it, Kaiser and Isagi teamed up and launched a collective attack on Rin. Interestingly, Rin grabbed Isagi by his collar and shot the ball to propel a goal. However, his strategy was stopped by Hiori, who prevented the goal from being successfully launched.

The chapter ended while setting the stage for another intense on-field showdown, with Hiori most likely taking center stage in the upcoming installment.
