According to Deadline, Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka is currently developing an adult anime series adaptation of Allure: The Evening Primrose, based on the 2021 manga written by Sinitus Tempo for Noir Caesar Entertainment.
In addition to executive producing the anime through her Hana Kuma banner, the tennis champion is also attached to lead the voice cast for the role of rookie assassin Akane Koizumi.
“The story follows Akane Koizumi, a talented rookie assassin for the Adachi crime family, who longs to receive “Allure,” a dangerous drug that enhances the abilities of elite killers known as Death Bringers,” reads the synopsis. “However, when she and her team cross the Adachis and are marked for death, they must find a way to survive and fight back against the Death Bringers who are now pursuing them.”
Who’s involved in the Allure: The Evening Primrose anime?
Allure: The Evening Primrose anime will be created and written by Big Hero 6: The Series’ Kenny Byerly. It is executive produced by Johnny O’Bryant, Jane Kim Yang, Hillary Levi, Matt Nicholas and Nastassja Kayln. It hails from Hana Kuma and Rebel Maverick. The project will launch in the market early this year.
