Chakra in Naruto: What Chakra Does Hinata Have?

Hinata Hyuga was introduced to the audience as a meek, mild-mannered young girl. Despite her desire to become an exceptionally strong Kunoichi, her father didn’t believe in her abilities. However, as the series progressed, fans saw her becoming a solid shinobi as well as one of the most essential characters in Naruto. She even became quite adored by the fans due to her diligent and soft personality. However, there are a few scenes in the show or manga where Hinata could’ve shown her true potential. This led fans to be curious about her true abilities and arsenal of techniques. Hyuga is one of the three clans with special dojutsu, so the stakes are pretty high for the Byakugan Princess. One such question that lingers in the community is what Hinata’s true chakra nature is.

We’ve seen plenty of action sequences in the entirety of Naruto that involved the Byakugan Princess. However, despite being the Seventh Hokage’s wife and the love of his life, she doesn’t get much screen time. Additionally, we’ve seen her performing different techniques, yet the nature of her Chakra wasn’t explicitly focused on.

We’ve seen the Water Needle act as an offshoot for Hinata’s Gentle Fist. This particular jutsu doesn’t rely on Hinata’s chakra, though, so fans barely gave it a second thought. However, several audiences were curious as to what might be Hinata’s actual Chakra nature. Despite using the Water Needle as a trigger, her actual Chakra nature is Fire and Lightning.

Hinata can not create water for this technique instantaneously. She has to be present in an environment that is dominated by the elements. She channels her Chakra in a specific way to create water vortexes. Those vortexes then shoot water formed into needles. Hinata doesn’t miss a target by combining this technique with her Byakugan.
