Onmyoji anime will air in about a month, and the new visual is preparing the fans for a supernatural plot set in a historical era.

The Onmyojin anime TV is based on Yumemakura’s novel series of the same name. A manga and a video game were also adapted from the same novel series. And, it’s time for the otakus to sit tight and enjoy the pristine fantasy show, which will hit their screens in a little while. The plot entails a Japanese folklore, and with the folklore comes its obvious supernatural touch. With demons against humans, it should be interesting to see how the viewers receive this much-anticipated anime.
Onmyoji Anime: What to expect, release date & platform
The brand-new anime adaptation is directed by Soubi Yamamoto, and produced by Marvy Jack. This pairing naturally raises expectations from the show. Onmyoji anime TV features Daisuke Namikawa as the protagonist Abe no Seimei. Moreover, Shintaro Asanuma will play the role of the protagonist’s partner, Minamoto no Hiromasa. Additionally, the cast members include Yui Ishikawa as Tsuyuko, Kenji Hamada as Prince Atsumi, Daisuke Kishio as Kamo Yasunori, and Rina Sato as Ashiya Doman.
Netflix’s description of the show reveals that the plot is set in Kyoto, where emotions like yearning and obsession transform people into demons. Minamoto Hiromasa, a court musician, seeks help from Abe no Seimei to solve the problems of the town. And, although the protagonist is initially uninterested, they team up to confront the source of the disturbances, Ashiya Doman. Then, they work to restore peace in the city, with their allies’ help.
The show is set to premiere on November 28, 2023, on Netflix. As of now, there is no word on when the English-dubbed version of the show will be available. It is a matter of a month before the premiere will reveal what’s in store. And, the fans will finally know whether or not the show meets their expectations.
