Hell’s Paradise Episode 4 Recap
In a flashback, Gantetsusai talks about his past and how he became a criminal. His executioner, Fuchi, explains how the Asaemon are more useful to society than people like Gantetsusai. Gantetsusai tells Fuchi that he wants to eliminate competition before looking for the Elixir. Elsewhere, Gabimaru and Sagiri are surrounded by giant odd-looking monsters. Gabimaru uses his abilities to eliminate all the creatures and saves Sagiri from being attacked.
Suddenly, Yuzuriha shows up. She offers to work together by seducing Gabimaru, but it doesn’t work for him. Meanwhile, Genji and Senta are Yuzuriha’s executioners. Gabimaru doesn’t want to work with Yuzuriha and asks what the benefits would be if they worked together. Yuzuriha offers information, such as how the bugs are more dangerous than the giant monsters.
Gabimaru asks why she wants to survive, and Yuzuriha doesn’t have any specific reason other than wanting to return back alive. Gabimaru eventually agrees to work together because he wants information. Meanwhile, Sagiri faints. In another flashback, Toma infiltrates the ranks of the Yamada Asaemon to save his brother, Chobe. Toma greatly admires his brother, noting that change is strength. More of the giant monsters surround Toma and Chobe, and Chobe eliminates all of them. Chobe tells Toma that they will eliminate everyone so no one can stop them from getting the Elixir. After that, they will drink the Elixir rather than give it back to the shogun.
