Chainsaw Man Episode 9 releases in the United States on Tuesday, December 6. In Japan, the episode will be out on Wednesday, December 7, at 12 a.m. JST.

Himeno drunkenly brings Denji home with her. In her drunken state, she tells Denji to move on from Makima. While undressing Denji, she finds a lollipop in his pocket. Denji remembers his conversation with Makima earlier that night and how she gave him the lollipop as an indirect kiss. The next day, Himeno proposes an alliance while having breakfast. She claims she will help out Denji with Makima, and in exchange, he’ll help her with Aki.
Elsewhere, Makima is on her way to Kyoto for a meeting. She gets ambushed inside the train. Meanwhile, the other devil hunters from Division 4 seem to have been targeted as well. While eating ramen with Aki, Himeno, and Power, the man from the other table starts talking to Denji about his grandfather. It turns out his grandfather was the yakuza who used to hire Denji. The man says the Gun Devil is after Denji’s heart and proceeds to shoot Denji.
Aki uses the Fox Devil to eat the man, but the man escapes after transforming into a devil hybrid with swords. Aki fights him and uses his sword to call upon the Curse Devil. The Curse Devil kills the man. However, a girl appears and revives him. The man slashes Aki, and Himeno uses the full power of the Ghost Devil to fight off the man. The girl uses the Snake Devil to eat the Ghost Devil. Later on, Himeno’s body completely disappears.
