A film based on the hit anime series Kaguya-sama: Love is War is in the works and will follow the recently finished third season of the anime.
The new film, titled Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends, will adapt the manga’s story arc of the same name, and focuses on the relationship of Kaguya and Miyuki, who have now had their first official kiss and must begin truly understanding one another and admitting their feelings.
The arc will take place after the third season of the anime, which just finished wrapping up late last month. Alongside the newly announced film, a fourth season of Kaguya-sama: Love is War is already in the works, with no premiere date set for the highly anticipated return of the anime.
“At the renowned Shuchiin Academy, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya are the student body’s top representatives,” reads the official synopsis for the anime. “Ranked the top student in the nation and respected by peers and mentors alike, Miyuki serves as the student council president. Alongside him, the vice president Kaguya—eldest daughter of the wealthy Shinomiya family—excels in every field imaginable. They are the envy of the entire student body, regarded as the perfect couple.”
