My Hero Academia’s 2-Episode OVA Gets Crunchyroll Release Date

Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the new two-episode original video animation of My Hero Academia on August 1, 2022.

The new OVA will launch in August in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, and Europe. The North American premiere of the OVA happened yesterday during this year’s Anime Expo, where fans in attendance got to view the new OVA.

The two episodes are set to premiere in Japan on June 16-19, 2022, before being made available on streaming services later in the summer. The first episode will be a new story focused on Hero League Baseball, while the second episode will take place during the fifth season’s “Internship at Endeavor’s Agency” arc.

For those that need to catch up on My Hero Academia, the series is available to stream in its entirety as of now. Currently, all 113 episodes of the anime are available to stream in both subbed and dubbed formats on Crunchyroll and Funimation for those looking to catch up. A sixth season of the series is also in production.

My Hero Academia began as a manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The anime television adaptation made its debut in 2016. Both are still ongoing.
