Demon Slayer Celebrates Third Anniversary With Live Event

Demon Slayer is gearing up to celebrate its third anniversary and will do so with the broadcast of a live ceremony.

The Kimetsu Festival 3rd Anniversary Celebration will aim to celebrate the third anniversary of the first anime broadcast of the hit series, which took place in April 2019. Among the stage programs within the festival are two huge events, Kimetsu Party -Entertainment District Arc-, and Kimetsu Party -Mugen Train Arc-. These feature a live reading of an original story, as well as a special live dubbing performed by the voice actors from the series.

Demon Slayer Celebrates Third Anniversary With Live Event

Tickets for both days are on sale for the event now. For those looking to watch from across the globe, the events will be livestreamed with English and Traditional Chinese subtitles available. The first event, Kimetsu Party -Entertainment District Arc-, is set to take place on April 15, 2022, in the United States, and will kick off at 11 p.m. PDT, or 2 a.m. EST. The second event, Kimetsu Party -Mugen Train Arc-, will begin on April 16, 2022 at the same times.

Demon Slayer began as a manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. The anime television adaptation aired between April and September 2019. Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train is a direct sequel to the film. The anime was also adapted into a video game titled Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles.
