Brand new character art for the upcoming The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light film has been released today, showcasing some of the demons in the series.
Initially revealed by Natalie, the art shows some of the facial expressions and general attitude of two of the demons in the film. Nabaka Suzuki, the creator of The Seven Deadly Sins, commented on the drawings, saying that he wanted the faces of the characters to reflect their voice actors, Akira Kawashima and Yusuke Inoue.
You can check out the new character art in the gallery below:
“I thought Kawashima-san should be a stern demon with a good voice, and Inoue-san should be a clownish-looking demon,” Suzuki said. “I think it’s definitely more interesting if they look just a little bit like each other, and I can’t wait to see how they turn out once voiced!”
The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light is the second movie based on the manga and anime series, and will be directed by Takayuki Hamana, with Rintarou Ikeda acting as the screenwriter. The original cast from the first five seasons of the anime, as well as the first film, will also be returning for the film.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light will premiere in Japan on July 2, 2021.
