Ezra Miller Confirms No Flash Costume Ring in Justice League

When you’re the fastest man alive, you have to keep your costume in an environment that is both close by and easy to put on right when you need it. As a result, Barry Allen created his costume ring, which holds his entire suit inside it and can be popped open for easy access. For the upcoming Justice League movie, however, Barry won’t be sporting the ring.

“I can confirm, spoiler alert, his suit does not pop out of his ring [in the movie],” star Ezra Miller tells EW. “Things have to progress, you know? Original Barry Allen was clearly an incredibly, incredibly clever scientist. We acknowledge and respect that.

Miller adds, playfully, “We want to apologize to the fans who are mad about the ring thing.”

The actor went on to say that fans shouldn’t worry about the ring so much, as there are plenty of other things in the works for the character.

“I know the ring is the coolest thing about the DC universe. It was a little hard for us to sell in this version of this universe right now. Bear with us! There’s gonna be other cool things.”

Justice League also stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Amber Heard as Mera, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

Justice League will open in theaters on November 17, 2017.
