Actress Feels the Butterfly Effect

First cast update for sequel

Rachel Miner – who most recently appeared in NBC’s Fear Itself – has taken a role in Butterfly Effect: Revelation. The third film in the series is an After Dark Films original production and is scheduled to open in theaters on January 2, 2009 when Horrorfest (8 Films to Die For) begins its week-long run.

The actress is almost an After Dark fixture at this point having starred in the Horrorfest 2006 film Penny Dreadful and Horrorfest 2007’s Tooth and Nail.

In Butterfly, she’ll join Chris Carmack, a young man who discovers he has inherited the powers of “The Butterfly Effect” and attempts to solve the mystery of his high school girlfriend’s death using his newfound ability, only to unwittingly unleash a vicious serial killer.

Miss Horrorfest Mistress Malice (aka Melissa Jones) shoots her scenes for the film next week.

Butterfly Effect: Revelation is directed by Seth Grossman and written by Holly Brix.
