Halloween Sets New Labor Day Record

Earned about $11 million more than the previous record holder

With an estimated $31 million in its first four days, Rob Zombie’s remake of John Carpenter’s Halloween has obliterated the previous Labor Day box office record held by The Transporter 2 ($20.1 million) and dominated the box office with more than twice the amount made by the #2 movie, the Sony comedy Superbad.
