Jennifer Aniston to Play a Sports Manager in The Fixer

Jennifer Aniston to play real-life sports manager Denise White in The Fixer

Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox has cast Jennifer Aniston (We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses, Cake) to play Denise White, a real-life Miss USA contestant who rose through the ranks of professional sports management, in biopic The Fixer.

White’s specialty eventually became aiding clients in damage control on their public image, something that will no doubt come into play in the story from Dallas Buyers Club screenwriter Melisa Wallack, who sold the studio on her pitch based on Paul Solotaroff’s Men’s Journal article The Woman Who Bails Out The NFL’s Bad Boys.

Fox is apparently keen on getting James Gray (The Immigrant, We Own the Night) to direct, although no deal has been struck. Aniston and Kristin Hahn will produce through their Echo Films banner alongside Steve Barnett and Bernie Goldmann.

Meanwhile, Aniston will next be seen opposite Britt Robertson and Julia Roberts in Mother’s Day, and is currently set to headline Mean Moms for director Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home, Horrible Bosses 2).
