‘Jem and the Holograms’, ‘Ride Along 2’ & ‘Shut In’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings

Universal Pictures is going young with their Jem and the Holograms feature film as the small-town girl-turned-superstar will hit theaters in October with a PG rating for, among other reasons, some “reckless behavior”. Oh my!

Also in today’s rating we have a couple 2016 releases, the first one is Ride Along 2 featuring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart back together for another PG-13 rated romp. The first one made $153 million worldwide on a $25 million budget, but I didn’t find it all that funny. Will be interesting if the sequel can find the same kind of success. And finally, we have an R-rating for the Naomi Watts thriller Shut In.
