New ‘Transformers 4’ Picture May as Well be a Calvin Klein Ad

I just don’t know what to say any longer. Above is a new picture of the lead cast in Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Age of Extinction and if this is meant to give me any indication of what aesthetic the film is going for I guess I have to assume I’m supposed to sense the smell of a strong cologne and perhaps anticipate some ambiguous poem read over commercial actors staring off into the distance. This clearly isn’t a shot from the movie, which really makes me wish there was a making-of video to accompany it.

Pictured, as the headline says, are stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor as they make up the new human cast, filling in where Shia LaBeouf left off. This time around humanity is left to pick up the pieces following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, with Autobots and Decepticons having all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27. You ready?

P.S. I think it would make more sense like this…
