I apologize for including such a massive chunk from Michael Arndt’s script for Toy Story 3 to lead off this post, but come on, that is just one hell of a scene and when you consider the way it’s written, the way it appeared on screen and the fact we’re talking about freaking toys and the emotion involved it’s sheer brilliance. Is it enough to earn Arndt’s script an Oscar nomination? Well, now’s your chance to read the whole thing as well as several others and begin to decide for yourself.
Today I’ve added four more scripts to the growing list of Oscar contending screenplays including Arndt’s script for Toy Story 3, Linda Woolverton’s screenplay for Alice in Wonderland, David Lindsay-Abaire’s screenplay for Rabbit Hole and Tyler Perry’s screenplay for For Colored Girls.
Of the four new screenplays, only Toy Story 3 is competing for an Original Screenplay nod, the other three are adaptations.
