Seann William Scott was originally tapped to star in Kevin Smith’s hockey comedy Hit Somebody, but bailed and ended up hitting the ice in another flick, Goon for director Michael Dowse.
In the flick Scott plays a bouncer who’s an outcast of a brainy family who overcomes long odds to lead a team of under performing misfits to semi-pro hockey glory, beating the crap out of everything that stands in his way. He stars alongside Jay Baruchel, Liev Schreiber, Alison Pill, Marc-Andre Grondin and Eugene Levy and MTV has debuted this batch of three images.
The film is currently without a distributor or release date. Baruchel co-wrote the film with Superbad screenwriter Evan Goldberg and the film is being shopped around the American Film Market this week hoping for a buyer, which is the obvious reason why the pictures are debuting online, hoping to create a buzz and prove to potential distributors it’s worth picking up.
