Pics and Trailer from the Alien Abduction Thriller ‘The Fourth Kind’

Universal has sent over the trailer and a pair of images from their upcoming sci-fi thriller The Fourth Kind as it comes out of nowhere, which could mean one of two things: 1) They are trying to take advantage of a rise in perceived audience interest in sci-fi, or 2) it’s actually pretty good. When the trailer debuted as an exclusive elsewhere at the end of last week people got pretty jazzed about it, so let’s hope it’s the latter of the two reasons.

The film is set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year and psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented. Will Patton and Elias Koteas co-star in the film directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi.

The Fourth Kind is being sold as a fact-based thriller, but to what extent I am not sure. It is set for a November 6 release. You can click here for a look at two photos from the film and the trailer can be seen directly below or in high-definition at the official site which also has alien abduction resource links.
