Michael Meyers Casting and Other Horror Bits

Horror genre site Bloody-Disgusting received a couple of casting updates for some major horror flicks over the past two days. First off, they have learned that Daeg Faerch (pictured above) will be playing the young Michael Meyers in Rob Zombie’s new version of Halloween. The new movie begins after Myers has being committed for 17 years and is now a grown man and still very dangerous. He is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10-year-old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger. The film is due in theaters October 31, 2007.

The second bit of casting news tells us that Lindsay Lohan’s little thriller I Know Who Killed Me has received quite a few new faces including Neal McDonough, Brian Geraghty, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Spencer Garrett and Clint Johnson. That pic centers on Aubrey (Lohan), the young daughter of affluent parents who is abducted and mutilated by a sadistic serial killer, she then manages to escape, sans a hand and a leg and lots of blood. The girl who regains consciousness in the hospital claims to be not Aubrey but Dakota identical to Aubrey, but with a much different demeanor. Dakota struggles to convince anyone that she is not Aubrey and finds herself in a desperate race to save Aubrey’s life and her own against overwhelming odds.
