The cast has been looking back at their time on set and sharing memorable stories as the release nears.
Tom Holland recalls how one The Odyssey star brought the entire set to tears
During an interview with VT at the film’s Friday premiere, Tom Holland and Matt Damon were asked which co-star challenged them the most during filming. While many expected Holland to name one of the film’s famous actors, he surprised everyone with a very different answer.
Holland said the dog that plays Argos delivered a performance that deeply affected everyone on set. Although he didn’t reveal the scene from getting spoiled, he shared that it became one of the most emotional moments filmed.
“The scene that we really can’t talk about because it’s such a huge moment in the movie. The dog probably gives one of the best performances ever done by a furry animal on screen,” Holland said. The actor also recalled that he assumed Nolan would film his part first. Instead, the director decided to begin with the dog.

According to Holland, the animal got the scene right and made many crew members emotional. While Holland and Damon discussed the next shot, Nolan jokingly interrupted them by saying, ” Oi, thespians, get on with it. I’ll be on the f-king dog.”
The Odyssey adapts Homer’s legendary poem about Odysseus and his long journey home after the Trojan War. Early reviews praised the movie’s emotional storytelling and Nolan’s direction.
The performances from its talented ensemble cast are expected to make it one of the year’s most talked-about releases.
