- Lexie Carver, played by Nikki Crawford
The character was originally played by Renee Jones from 1993 to 2012. Lexie was presumed dead, but she was revealed to be kept alive in a mysterious lab at the hospital by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf. Crawford was roped in to play the resurrected Lexie, and she made her debut on March 6. The actress opened up about her role with TV Insider. “They didn’t tell me it was Lexie Carver,” she shared.
Crawford continued, “They used another name just because she was such a beloved character. So, when I started doing my research, I thought, ‘Oh, well, maybe she’s coming on as Lexie’s sister,’ and it wasn’t until I got the role that they told me, ‘No, you’re the new Lexie Carver.” She also talked about the preparation for the role before filming. “I don’t watch soaps, but like with any role that I take on, I do extensive research.”
The 52-year-old further added, “So, I watched the show. I delved into her backstory through Google searches.” Moreover, she spoke to other actors and to the producers and directors, who filled her in on Lexie’s backstory. “The character had gone through so much and so I wanted to embody all of that when she comes back to life,” Crawford explained.
In the upcoming episode, Lexie will be seen sharing scenes with Kristen.

Following Alice Halsey’s exit in March, Lorelei Olivia Mote stepped into the shoes of Kristen and Brady’s daughter, Rachel. In the upcoming episode, Marlena will be seen worried about Rachel.
