Daredevil: Born Again Just Brought a Dead Villain Back in a New Suit

A fan-favorite villain who was presumed dead from the Daredevil Netflix series is returning for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. After the latest season introduced superheroes like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in the MCU, the next installment aims to revive one of the show’s most memorable antagonists.

Marvel is resurrecting a villain from the Netflix series for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. According to a leaked set video and images shared on X (formerly Twitter), the show’s next installment will feature Elektra. Once again, she will be played by Elodie Yung, who portrayed the character in the original series.

In the 10-second clip, Yung is seen wearing a long black jacket with a hood covering her head and costume. After practicing a move with her character’s signature weapons, Twin Sai, the actress heads inside the building.

A more recent post offers a much clearer look at the character and her costume. For Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, the actress will be donning a completely new suit. In the images, she is wearing a sleeveless black jumpsuit with crimson red highlights, a red hairband, black tactical boots, and black-and-red gloves that also wrap around her forearms.

On her waist, she wears an elongated red sash and has two holsters, one for each of her Sai. She also has a holster for a kunai on the back of her left palm.

The video and images have garnered strong reactions from the community. While some fans are celebrating the return of a beloved character, a few are questioning the decision.

Elektra was first introduced in Daredevil Season 2. At the end of the season, she suffered a tragic death while fighting beside the titular hero. However, The Hand later brought her back in The Defenders. She once again survived the entire season, only to seemingly die after a building collapsed on her.

Interestingly, Elektra wasn’t alone at the time. She was with Daredevil, who evidently made it through. So, considering the leaked images and video, it is safe to assume that she made it out alive as well.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will premiere sometime in March 2027.
