ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive Citizen Vigilante clip starring Armie Hammer. Directed by Uwe Boll, the film centers on a wealthy American who becomes a notorious vigilante while living in Europe, targeting violent criminals and corrupt officials. It will be released on June 19, 2026, by Quiver Distribution.
“Citizen Vigilante story is Sanders (Hammer), a wealthy American businessman living in Zagreb who inherited a massive real estate empire from his late father. Intelligent, isolated and emotionally scarred, Sanders transforms himself into a feared underground vigilante targeting violent criminals, rapists and corrupt judges who escaped meaningful punishment through the legal system,” says the official synopsis.
“As his brutal campaign gains traction online and across the media, Sanders becomes both a wanted criminal and an unlikely public hero. But not everyone sees him as a savior. Interpol Chief Henry, played by Mandylor, believes Sanders represents a dangerous threat to society and launches an aggressive international pursuit to stop him before his influence spirals out of control.”

What happens in the Citizen Vigilante clip?
The clip primarily features Hammer’s character, Sanders, as he films a message for the masses explaining his controversial actions.
“What if everything they ever taught you was utter nonsense? What if that’s what Nietzsche meant when he said it was cold and lonely at the top of the mountain of wisdom? A place free from imposed morals, false religions, or politics,” says Hammer. “A place free from man-made tools of oppression, only meant to control you. Look, if you want the cold, hard truth, I’ll give it to you. We can change history. The state, the court, the police. You think that they’ve failed you, but they haven’t. Because they were never meant to give you justice. They only exist to control you. But I’m here to help you take control back.”
Hammer is joined by Saw franchise star Costas Mandylor. Boll says it is “an action film inspired by real events, based on real cases and a commentary about injustice.” The director also claimed it was blocked from release in Germany following disputes over its classification.
