Gore Verbinski directed the science fiction comedy, which Matthew Robinson wrote. The film stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, and Juno Temple.
Briarcliff Entertainment released the film in U.S. theaters on February 13, 2026. It then arrived on VOD and digital platforms on March 10, 2026. The movie first premiered at the 2025 Fantastic Fest in September before its wider theatrical rollout.
The film follows a man from the future who arrives at a Los Angeles diner. He must recruit the right combination of patrons to stop a rogue artificial intelligence. The story marks Verbinski’s first directed feature in nine years.

Peter Debruge of Variety called the film “an unapologetically irreverent, wildly inventive, end-is-nigh take on the time-loop movie.” He also stated that “it takes a virtuoso of his caliber to execute on the movie’s intricate imagination.” The film also screened as a Special Gala at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026.
Constantin Film bankrolled the entire $20 million budget after producers secured Sam Rockwell for the lead role. Principal photography took place in Cape Town, South Africa, starting in April 2024.
