Kristina gives Cody advice

Kristina finds Cody on the phone talking about a book and learns he has joined a book club. She then urges him to read Molly’s manuscript completely. But he refuses, saying that he’ll read it once it’s published. Kristina reveals that Molly won’t publish it because it hurts his feelings. After a little bit of convincing, Cody finally agrees to finish reading it.

Complicated feelings

Lulu confides in Laura her worries about losing Nathan to Maxie. Laura reminds her daughter that Maxie had moved on to Spinelli before she went into a coma. Nonetheless, Lulu feels like she’s betraying her best friend. When she admits that she hasn’t spoken to Nathan about it yet, Laura asks her to do it and not assume what he would do.

Who will replace Drew?

Alexis informs Molly and Suzanne that Laura asked her to take over Drew’s position in Congress. Both of them think it’s a great idea and urge the lawyer to accept the offer. Alexis worries about being a politician and how it could affect Scout. The three get into a discussion, and by the end, Alexis agrees to do it.

Meanwhile, Willow talks to Nina about Sidwell asking her to serve as a congresswoman. She admits she doesn’t know much about politics and that it would make it difficult to spend time with her kids. Nina offers help, encourages her to take on the role, and urges Willow to admit Drew to a facility.

Spinelli fears losing everything

Spinelli tells Brook Lynn that Maxie might choose Nathan over him. She reminds him that he and Maxie were truly in love and asks him to let Maxie make the decision again. Spinelli feels better after talking to her, but also says that if Maxie picks Nathan, he’ll walk away.

The key to the case

Nathan updates Dante that Michael handed over his keys to the forensics without making a fuss. He and Dante know a criminal wouldn’t keep the keys on them for so long, but they also acknowledge they have to cover all bases.

The conversation soon turns to Maxie’s return. Nathan is unsure as to where he stands in her life, but Dante tells him to let Maxie decide who she wants to be with. Soon, Dante gets a call and learns that the forensics found a key to Drew’s house in Michael’s keyset.
