Pamela Anderson said in a SiriusXM interview with Andy Cohen that she felt “yucky” sitting near Seth Rogen at the Golden Globes (via TMZ). “He was in the pit at the Golden Globes. We were close. I felt like I’m not chopped liver over here,” she stated. Rogen won two awards that night for his Apple TV series The Studio. Anderson did not confront him directly but admitted, “I really told him what I thought… in my mind.”
Anderson criticized Rogen’s involvement in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, saying, “Seth Rogen… he did ‘Pam & Tommy’ without talking to me. I just felt like ugh.” She added, “How can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life? And I am living, breathing human being over here.” The 2022 series portrayed the leak of her and Tommy Lee’s sex tape without her participation or consent.
She said, “It felt a little yucky. Eventually, hopefully, he will reach out to me to apologize, not that it matters.” Anderson emphasized that public figures should still have some privacy, saying, “Your darkest, deepest secrets or tragedies should not be fair game for a TV series. That pissed me off a little bit.”
Speaking to Variety in 2023, Anderson said “assholes” made Pam & Tommy and that it was “salt on the wound.” She added, “You still owe me a public apology.” Rogen served as executive producer and portrayed Rand Gauthier, the man who stole and distributed the tape.
The series featured Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee, earning 10 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Limited Series. The Television Academy also nominated James, Stan, and Seth Rogen for their performances. SiriusXM will air Anderson’s full interview on January 20.
