Brook Lynn and Dante Discuss Matters
Brook Lynn stumbles on Dante at the Quartermaine mansion, where he asks why she’s been avoiding him. She says it’s because he suspended Chase. Dante then admits that her husband may be right about Willow’s innocence. She asks him if he thinks Michael framed Willow, as Gio eavesdrops from the entrance.
Dante notices Gio, and the two drop the subject. Gio walks in and says that he’s there to keep Wiley company. Brook Lynn feels happy about it and leaves the room to fetch Wiley. Gio takes the opportunity to ask Dante directly if he suspects Michael, but he says he honestly doesn’t know.
Drew Loses His Temper
Alexis calls Drew to the stand, where she asks him about his various encounters with Michael in the past. Drew recalls how Michael threatened him publicly, learnt about his and Willow’s affair, and also that he sent Jason to beat him up.
When it’s Justine’s turn to ask questions, she presses Drew further. He recalls that Michael made a hostile takeover of his company. The DA then reveals the suspicious payment receipt to Judge Herrin, suggesting Drew wanted Willow isolated from her children.
Justine becomes aggressive, which leads Drew to lose his temper. He lashes out at Michael and the entire Quartermaine family, even accusing Michael of shooting him. Willow is horrified, begging Alexis to stop the testimony, but she refuses. After Drew’s outburst, the judge calls a recess, and Nina confronts Drew for destroying Willow’s case.
Willow’s Risky Testimony
Alexis asks Willow to get on the stand, which could be their only way to salvage the case anymore. Meanwhile, Gio convinces Wiley to call Michael, as Kai and Trina are close by to hear his ringtone. When he receives the call, it turns out to be completely different from the one they heard on the night of the shooting.
The session resumes, and Willows comes on the stand. Upon Alexis’s questioning, Willow recalls that Michael could’ve stolen the gun when he was alone in the house waiting for her, and that he might’ve even framed her.
During Justine’s cross-examination, Willow denies ever touching Edward’s gun. However, a flashback reveals that she was the one who took the gun. As questioning continues, phone records indicate that Willow was near Drew’s home the night of the shooting.
Willow defends herself, saying that she was emotional that night and doesn’t remember where she went. But additional flashbacks reveal that night’s events, ultimately revealing the moment Willow shoots Drew in the back. Her testimony ends, and everyone starts to believe that Willow might’ve saved despite Drew’s recklessness.
Meanwhile, Wiley makes another phone call, but this time, he calls Willow. To Kai and Trina’s surprise, Willow has the same ringtone that the couple heard inside of Drew’s house that night, once again confirming that Willow shot the congressman.
