Mother of cats, Taylor Swift, recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl. During the conversation, Swift revealed that she has a new hobby that is taking up much of her time.
Taylor Swift says baking bread is her new ‘obsession’ during interview with Seth Meyers
Swift came bearing gifts during her interview with Meyers, bringing two loaves of bread and revealing her recent obsession with baking. She explained:
“So I learned to bake bread from a wonderful woman named Tina, and I have now made it everyone’s problem. It’s like, when I have a hobby, it becomes an obsession, and then it becomes my entire personality, and so I have made you some bread. That was a good batch.” (via Seth Meyers)
Meyers appreciated the gesture but jokingly said he wanted to stage an intervention on behalf of her friends and family. He added:
“Everybody’s excited about the bread. The bread puns have to stop. I mean, this is great, I got bread from Taylor Swift, but then it said, ‘Are you bready for this?’”
The phrase references Swift’s Reputation track “…Ready For It?” On the second loaf, Swift had added a variety of cat stickers and a label that read, “The Fate of Doughphelia,” a playful nod to her newest song, “The Fate of Ophelia.”
Adding to the joke, Swift said: “Some of my best work. And I feel like it’s not gonna be appreciated until after its time.”
Continuing on the bread topic, Meyers suggested that Swift remake her latest album with bread-based puns in the lyrics. Agreeing, Swift joked that it was not off the table at this point. Taylor Swift wore a $5,250 floral corseted set by Wiederhoeft, paired with a jeweled collar necklace, during her October 8, 2025 appearance.
