When General Hospital first showed Rocco finding out about his parentage, it seemed to spark excitement among fans, but what followed was not nearly as exciting. Rather, Rocco going out of his way right away to find out about Britt is not sitting very well with the fans of the show.

How fans reacted to Rocco and Britt’s storyline in General Hospital
While some initially felt that the prospect of Rocco finding out about his birth would be as exciting and heartbreaking as the Gio storyline on General Hospital, that is simply not the case. Moreover, there are significant differences in their stories, which makes Rocco chasing after Britt and the truth behind his birth a lot more futile.
It seems some viewers are also not big fans of this storyline. Rocco reaching out to Liesl (Kathleen Gati, who may finally return to the show) in the Friday episode sparked many fan reactions on social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), where fans asserted that they did not want to see this Rocco and Britt storyline.
“This whole Britt/Rocco thing is nonsense. We know Britt isnt his bio mom so the plan made no sense from the [start] #GH,” one user wrote. “At this point I’ll be laughing at Rocco calling Britt his mommy,” another fan wrote on X. “I feel like it’s all plot point writing to have Liesel and Britt come back but also to show that Rocco s still very much a teenager who’s irrationally convincing himself that his parents didnt want him and impulsively writing Liesel an email,” another user said, trying to justify the plotline.
Anyhow, irrespective of how fans feel about the progress of this story arc, it seems that General Hospital is moving ahead with this. With this arc, there is the prospect of many characters returning, which perhaps will be more interesting for fans.
