Drop: Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson Join Cast of Blumhouse Thriller

The cast of Christopher Landon’s upcoming thriller Drop has grown, with Deadline reporting that Violett Beane and newcomer Jacob Robinson have joined the project.

Beane is best known for her role as Jesse Wells/Jesse Quick in The CW’s The Flash, and most recently starred in the Hulu mystery series Death and Other Details. Beane and Robinson will join Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar, who were previously announced to be in the cast.

Currently, not much is known about the project, other than the fact that the film is being described as “a fast-paced thriller.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script for Drop. Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller will produce the movie, while Sam Lerner will serve as an executive producer.

Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes have collaborated on The Purge franchise. The movie will be distributed by Universal when it released.
