The Midnight Studio Episode 11 Recap & Spoilers: Did Joo Won & Kwon Nara Find a Way To Lift His Curse?

The Midnight Studio episode 11, which aired on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, focuses on the lead characters’ past connection. Starring Joo Won as Seo Ki-Joo and Kwon Nara as Han Bom, the K-drama currently revolves around them finding a way to lift Ki-Joo’s curse.

In the previous episode, Ki-Joo promised Han Bom that he would not die like his ancestors. The two also found out that Han Bom’s former boss, Lee Hyeon-Oh, was connected to the death of the photo studio’s latest visitor.

The Midnight Studio episode 11 begins with a flashback of Han Bom’s car accident, in which her parents died. It showed that a man saved her, but the police didn’t believe it when she mentioned that person. Later in the episode, she tells Ki-Joo they can find a solution to lift his curse by digging into her memory.

The Midnight Studio episode 11 spoilers: Kwon Nara’s traumatic childhood memory may help Joo Won lift his curse

In The Midnight Studio episode 11, Han Bom (Kwon Nara) takes a peek at Ki-Joo’s (Joo Won) mark on his shoulder. It appears to be similar to the one she has on her wrist. She recalls that she has had it since the day of her accident when she was a kid. At that time, she went into a coma for two months and appeared in the photo studio, leading to the two’s first encounter.

Han Bom has no memory of her traumatic childhood accident. However, she believes that if she remembers, then Ki-Joo can find a solution to lift his curse. For context, Ki-Joo lives with a curse that will not let him live after turning 35.

Meanwhile, Ki-Joo and Han Bom also help Kim Yoon-Cheol’s ghost seek justice. In the past, Han Bom lost her prosecutor title because she refused to bury Yoon-Cheol’s case under Lee Hyeon-Oh’s order. In the latest episode, the lead characters learn that the ghost didn’t die by suicide but was murdered.

With the help of Assistant Go and Baek Nam-Gu, Ki-Joo records Hyeon-Oh’s confession that he is the culprit in Yoon-Cheol’s case. Assuring the ghost that Ki-Joo will seek justice for him, Yoon-Cheol leaves the world of the living after clicking a photo with his sister and mother.

After he leaves, Ki-Joo, Han Bom, and Assistant Go gather to work on exposing Lee Hyeon-Oh’s crimes to the world. Nam-Gu brings more evidence that shows why Hyeon-Oh killed Yoon-Cheol’s friends and blamed him.

The Midnight Studio episode 11 ending: Is Kwon Nara’s past accident connected to Joo Won?

Towards the end of The Midnight Studio episode 11, Nam-Gu hands over an old case that shows that one of Yoon-Cheol’s friends was Hyeon-Oh’s driver in a hit-and-run case several years ago. Hyeon-Oh was the driver’s attorney who helped the culprit get a minimum sentence in prison.

While going through the documents, Han Bom realizes that the victims were her parents. Later, she and Ki-Joo visit the site of the accident, and her memory comes back, leaving her paranoid. The flashback shows the accident where her parents have died, and she is hanging upside down in the car. A man approaches her and takes her out of the vehicle. While he tries to call out for help, the car comes back and hits him as well.

When Han Bom comes to her senses, she realizes that the man who saved her was Ki-Joo’s uncle. The Midnight Studio episode 11 ends with her telling Ki-Joo, “The accident happened twice, not once. I think your uncle died trying to save me.”
