The movie is the official sequel to DJ Tillu and follows the story of its titular character. After escaping with a lot of money in the first part, Tillu restarts his career as a disc jockey. However, his life again takes a major turn when Lilly (played by Anupama Parameswaran) enters his life. There begins a tale of romance, drama, crime, and comedy.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Tillu Square opened to positive reviews from the audience. The viewers praised the movie’s plot and Siddhu’s comic timing. Amid the massive buzz around the movie, it is inching closer to a huge milestone. In the first three days, the movie’s performance was outstanding. However, its per-day collection saw a major dip on its first Monday. After spending five days in the theaters, the movie has earned a whopping $10 million gross.

An elated director, Mallik Ram took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and penned, “Our Starboy shattering records all over).”

The movie is now aiming to cross the $12 million mark gross. It has already surpassed the $2 million mark in North America.

While the movie’s makers are basking in its glory, they have already announced a third part in the film franchise, Tillu Cube. The story of Tillu Square is expected to continue in the third part. In an interview with Gallata Plus, Jonnalagadda his idea for the threequel. He said, “Next time, I’m thinking I’m going to make him fly in the air. I’m going to make him a superhero. I’m going to see how he behaves when he becomes a superhero, how he responds to the changes.”
